ARTIST STATEMENT

This piece presents the internal workings of a common random number generator, MT19937. It's used everywhere, and it's very likely you've had contact with it before. True to the randomness of the generator, on a micro level the internals are chaotic, depicted as the randomness within each cell. However, on a macro level the generator is instead highly ordered, a property cryptographers would call "poor diffusion".
