Ya Hala (Welcome)! 

We are excited to announce that the Ya Hala community space pop-up, which made a home for itself at SZ Gallery this Spring, is relaunching Game Night every Friday evening this Summer! Swing by the cafe, Friday, July 11th, 5-9PM, as you enjoy the diverse art exhibits on display during the Mercer Island Art Walk!

Play card games, backgammon, or bring your own! Turkish coffee, hot tea or a cold ade pairs perfectly with some healthy competition. 

SZ & Ya Hala welcome the community in good faith, inviting a spirit of empathy with and curiosity of the Palestinian experience. Racism of any kind will not be tolerated.

Anti-Palestinian Racism is a specific form of anti-Arab racism that silences, excludes, or dehumanizes Palestinians and their narratives. It often manifests in ways that include:

• Refusing to recognize Palestinians as an Indigenous people with a collective identity and legitimate claims to historic and occupied Palestine

• Erasing their human rights and equal dignity

• Excluding Palestinian voices and pressuring others to do the same

• Defaming Palestinians or their allies as inherently anti-Jewish, sympathetic to terrorism, or anti-democratic

MEET GRACE - Summer Intern.

This summer, Grace Hopperstad joined SZ Design | Build, as a Summer Intern from Columbia University. She comes to us with enthusiasm, curiosity and willingness to take on a variety of collaborative efforts. Grace’s generous spirit contributes to our positive team and client experiences throughout SZ’s Design | Build process. We’re thrilled to welcome Grace on board!

Seattle Art Fair 2025

Seattle Art Fair, a one-of-a-kind showcase for the vibrant arts community of the Pacific Northwest, and a leading destination for the best in modern and contemporary art, returns to the Lumen Field Event Center for its ninth edition in July 2025. Working alongside Beneficiary Partner Seattle Art Museum, Artistic Director Nato Thompson, and the fair’s dedicated Host Committee, the Seattle Art Fair, founded by the late Paul G. Allen, is a celebrated and productive week bringing together the region’s strong collector base, the Pacific Northwest’s top museums and institutions, and an array of innovative public programming.
