ViV Crossing: Rêve Development

June 24, 2021

Rêve is the French word for ‘dream’, and we dream of exciting opportunities to enhance our local community through creative and impactful property development. ViV Crossing, at the intersection of Rainier Ave S and MLK Jr Way in Seattle, is well on its way to bringing one of such dreams into reality.

This Transit Oriented Development (TOD), 8-story building is designed to respond to its angular site, serving as the ‘Flat Iron’ of the Mt Baker neighborhood. In addition to the 172 residential rental units (SEDUs, Studios & One-Bedrooms), ViV Crossing features a spectacular rooftop amenity with indoor and outdoor areas to gather and enjoy the sweeping views from downtown Seattle to the North to Mt Rainier towards the South. This new development will activate the ground level with 3,000 sf for Retail /Restaurant use, along with very cool Live/Work Lofts.

Along with our fabulous team of collaborators, including Encore Architects and Graham Construction, we look forward to seeing this vision come to life!

Mercer Island Waterfront Home

April 12, 2020

Ever wonder if it is better to substantially remodel and/or add-on to your existing home, rather than sell and buy another? Real estate values have gone up considerably, and in our current seller's market, it's the buying-back-in that can be costly if it's not timed just right.

Considering the resources involved in the design, permitting, & construction process, is it worth it to leverage the appreciation gained in your current house and transform it into your dream home?

The simple answer is: It depends. Each property is unique, and each family is different. The best thing to do is explore all options and make informed decisions with the help of your professional real estate, design, & build community.

We ventured down this decision-making path with our Mercer Island clients.. They purchased a lovely 1,800 SF lakefront home, but it didn't meet their family's personality & lifestyle. They selected Suzanne Zahr as their Architect to help lead them down a path of discovery that would ultimately result in their 4,500 SF dream home. With each phase of the design process, new insights were creatively explored and considered.

Introducing the Brand Identity of Rêve Development

January 16, 2018

Rêve is the French word for “dream,” and our aim is to attract investors who dream of exciting opportunities in property development. With our combined background in real estate law, design, construction and property development, Rêve’s team handles complexities with ease to ensure that these dreams can become a reality.

Exciting news! Suzanne has joined forces with real estate attorneys, Michael D. Ross & Rob B. Spitzer, to form the Seattle-based group, Rêve Development, LLC. As they initially explored branding ideas for their new venture, they began to hone in on shared values and ambitions. The concept of building a portfolio of meaningful developments that make a difference, socially, economically, and environmentally, began to rise to the top of their priorities. Rêve's name stems from their courage to think differently, their drive to persevere through challenges, and the desire to make a positive impact within the communities they so gratefully serve.
